ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE TOWARD EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION ATINDONESIA ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY Arranged by: Eka Hotmaida Gultom NIM: 1531010 This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style on the employeesmotivation at Universitas Advent Indonesia. The method of this research was used descriptive statistical analysis method where the data was obtained in real circumstances with the sampel were 30 respondents. Descriptive analysis showed the good result between the leadership style with the employees work motivation. Based on statistical analysis, the result of correlation coefficient between the leadership style with the employees work motivation was r = 0.729. This result showed strong relationship between leadership style and employees work motivation. The contribution of leadership style in the employees work motivation was showed Kd = 53.1% while the remaining 46.9% was explained by other factors outside the regression model of this study. Significance value (t test) with t-count 5.630 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The leadership manner on employees work motivation bring out a coefficient value of R = 0.531. This result showed that there was contribution of leadership style to employees work motivation. Based on the linear regression analysis Y= 2.159 + 0.474 X showed that the implementation of leadership style can increase employees motivation Keywords: leadership style, employee work motivation.
