ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF EXPRESSION HASTENING THE COMING OF GOD'S DAY IN 2 PETER 3: 12A ACCORDING TO THE VIEW MEMBERS OF THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH CIPARAY, BANDUNG Tulus Pasaribu NIM: 1511022 The author conducted a research about "philosophical analysis of the expression of hastening the coming of God’s day in 2 Peter 3: 12a according to the members of the seventh day adventist church of Ciparay, Bandung view. The research conducted towards Church members at the SDAC Ciparay, Bandung. There are four main indicators in this study, (1) waiting word analysis, (2) Hastening word analysis, (3) the day of God word analysis and (4) How to Hastening the coming of the day of God. This research was carried out in theoretical and field research. The results of theoretical research on the four main indicators are (1) the word waiting to have understanding is to wait for the coming of Jesus, but not just to wait, but to have a longing for the coming of the day of God. Looking forward also has the understanding of being ready whenever Jesus will come. (2) the word accelerates is really accelerating the coming of the day of God. The Bible does not give a description of the time for Jesus 'return, but Jesus' coming soon. Jesus stated that the time of His coming was when the gospel spread throughout the earth. (3) the word of the day of God in 2 Peter 3: 12a has understanding is the day of Jesus' second coming. (4) The way to speed up the coming of the day of God is to do evangelism so that many people can be saved so that they are ready when Jesus comes the second time. Apart from evangelizing God's people must have unity in the church and also put life fully into God's hands so that it has a life that reflects the character of Christ and always prays for evangelism also for the coming of Jesus. The field research was carried out by distributing 30 copies of a questionnaire containing 30 statements to members of the SDAC Ciparay, Bandung. Based on the completed questionnaire, it was found that the average congregation member had a good understanding of the first, second and fourth indicators, but lacked a good understanding of the third indicator. It is recommended that this understanding be increased in order to better understand this verse. Keywords: waiting, hastening, the coming of the day of of God.
