ABSTRACT Judul Tesis : ANALYSIS PHILOSOPY EVANGELIST OF SEVEN DAY ADVENTIST OF DISTRICT KUALA KENCANA CONCERNING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TROUGH EDUCATION OF KUALA KENCANA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN TIMIKA BASE ON MATTHEW 24 :14 Nama Peneliti : Anggiat Sitohang Nama dan Gelar : Magister Filsafat (M.Fil) Pembimbing Materi : Pdt. Dr. Alvin Hendriks, M.Min Tanggal Selesai : Papua is a big landscape inside the Republic of Indonesia which located on the far east of Indonesia which until now still needs to elevate the human resource of its people to make them equal in intellectual compares with other places in Indonesia. Therefore, big effort is needed to build the modern people who can humanize other people in order to help the country where they are stay. Seventh Day Adventist Church has a program to reach all the society layers on earth, without differentiate distance, time and pace as well as culture and language that sometimes become a reason behind, of a maximum result. But its not a reason for someone not to spread the gospel or to deliver a good message to everybody to reach them whose at the remote area. As the redeemed people by Jesus Christ through His death at the cross that saves us from death, we need to prove we accept His noble call and to share it to all tribe and nation. The rapid population growth make us cannot wasting time , considering the comparison between Christian people and the other majority urges the church to think that’s a lot of thing could be implemented. The rest is, to think how we run the gospel through the program of each church and how we look at the place where we stay. We know there are several programs, and departments that can be the vehicle to implement the approved program at the church. We know that each department has a goal to spread the gospel and to bring happy news to people. With this opportunity , writer would like to discuss the gospel approach through school education at Kuala Kencana, this is a writer personal experience with the church at Kuala Kencana in Timika. And this topic was appointed as the topic of discussion and scientific work, in how effective the evangelism through the education to embrace our brothers and sister. This topic has been implanted by the Kuala Kencana Church for more than 10 years. Human resource is a crucial and urgent needs in the place where we stay, because the advance or setback of the area is depending on the personal it self. The first purpose of this research is to clearly understand the spiritual life of the people of the church at Seventh Day Adventist church whose walking to the Canaan land through evangelism in existing education that has been implemented. Secondly, to give the Bible truth foundations to the people of the church to have the spirit of evangelism that has been said by Jesus in Matthew 24:14. Third,to give certainty to the member of Seventh Day Adventist Church that the evangelism life is the life style of Jesus Christ that has been inherited to each one of us as the redeemed people. Forth, to practice the life that has been guided by the Holy Spirit as a real evidence as new born in the life in the society. Fifth, to complete the requirement of post graduate program , Adventist University of Indonesia to gain the master degree. At the theoretical basis part, there are 13 parts which are: background of Matthew book (1), book title, book writer, place and time of the book writing, message theme and the outline , and the analysis of Matthew 24:14. (2) the philosophy of the evangelism (3) evangelism in the bible (4) evangelism in the old testament, (5) evangelism in new testament which has been exemplified by Jesus, (6) evangelism role in the education , (7) how to do evangelism at the school, (8) evangelism purpose through education, (9) Adventist education philosophy, (10) influence of education evangelism, (11) effective evangelism, (12) personal evangelism through school, (13) church as evangelism mission. Variable in this research, which are: XI, how far the understanding of the people at the Kuala Kencana church regarding evangelism and make evangelism as a being need to be implemented regarding Matthew 24:14 as a daily church member’s life style. X2 how far the implementation of participation and has a care to always take a part in fund raising through private commitment and as a church organization through operational fund and other needs related to school evangelism. At the end, members participation can be implemented through commitment fund for the operational cost. X3, how far the planned evangelism programs in helping the Kuala Kencana Church members in cooperation with the Dani tribe people and local people to open a school at the land given by the Dani people and belong to the organization. (Variable endogenous ) The number of the respondents that has been answer the questionnaire from point 1-27 are 122 people. The respondent profile are church members, gender, marital status, age, church membership status, occupation, education, and position at the church. An analysis are needed to know the data analysis could be continue or not. Some of data technique analysis require analysis requirement test. Varian of analysis requires the data comes from a normal distribution and the compared groups are humogen. That’s why variant analysis require validity test, reliability, normality, linearity, hypothesis, and descriptive static. The conclusion given as shown below: first, based on descriptive static with the title evangelism understanding through school education in variable XI declares very agree with average total score of 4,52 which mean Kuala Kencana SDA church member understand the evangelism through school. Secondly, based on descriptive statistic in the implementation of open evangelism at the school in variable X2 declares agree with the average total score of 4,46 which mean the church member have a good understanding of evangelism in education by the elementary school. Thirdly, based on descriptive statistic in concept of evangelism influence in variable X3 declares very agree with average total score of 4,4 which mean the Kuala Kencana church member understand the influence of evangelism to the local people through elementary school. The first given suggestion is, the importance of education in area 1 or 2 in Timika for the evangelism in local people, this topic will be emphasize by the writer through seminars about education and training to the church members about the importance of evangelism through education in the society. Second, there is an impact of openness of implemented evangelism in the school with a real action by giving regular helping fund related to the education evangelism. Third, there is an influence of school education in behavior changing of the local people by giving their children breakfast before school and to fund their kids for the education. And give the positive impact to them in cooperation to strengthen the cooperation through school development in the future. To build a better future of Papua children. The implication of this research is the implementation of openness evangelism in school by a real action to give them help in financial aspect, time, effort, and dedication to educate them in formal education as other education in the school at other places. The impact of the evangelism in the area is, there is no more prejudice or hatred to SDAC as the first time come to that place. And give a positive impact to the local people in cooperation to increase a good relationship in developing the school in the future. So they can build a better human resource in the land of Papua for the bright future of the children of the nation.
