ABSTRACT LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF ADOLESCENTS ABOUT URINARY TRACT INFECTION IN ADVENTIST JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL OF CIMINDI Madlyn Lithasya Ngantung NIM : 1751009 Knowledge or cognitive is a very important domain in shaping one's actions. Urinary tract infection is a common childhood disease and is characterized by a significant amount of bacteria in the urine. The incidence of UTI is still high, which is the second cause of infectious disease morbidity in children after respiratory infections. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of young men and women aged 11-14 years about urinary tract infections. The better the adolescent's level of knowledge about UTIs, the better the prevention will be. The research design was to use a comparative design with the aim of knowing the differences in the level of knowledge of adolescents about UTIs. The study population was students of SMP Advent Cimindi, then for the study sample using convenience sampling using the sample size formula, which ultimately amounted to 95 people. Retrieval of data through a questionnaire. The results showed that the knowledge level of young women was in the sufficient category and the knowledge level of young men was in the poor category. After the chi square analysis was carried out, it was stated that there was a significant difference between the knowledge level of young men and women with p <0.05. Advice for teenagers is to find out more about diseases that might occur if we don't take good care of our bodies, and take precautions as early as possible.
