ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THEOLOGICAL UNDERSTANDING AND APPLICATION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF BIBLICAL JEWELRY BASED ON THE BOOK OF 1 PETRUS 3: 3-4 CONGREGATION ADVENT AD 7TH DAY IN THE FIFTH CONFERENCE OF JAKARTA AND SURROUNDING AREAS Researcher Name: Pandapotan Nainggolan Name and Title : M.Fil Supervisor : Dr. B.D. In connection with the hall above, various experts expressed his opinion that the jewelry is something part of the culture and traditions so it is not wrong to use. But most of the experts suggested that disagree wear outwardly by wearing gold jewelry and expensive clothes. Bible found in jewelry use. Jewelry was used as a sign of social rank and one's role in society and in the temple. But the most important thing the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy writings against that church members do not wear jewelry outwardly, wearing expensive clothes but lives in modesty and simplicity. The study was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to members of the congregation Adventist Day 7 Region 5 Conference Jakarta and surrounding 173 people. The results of the questionnaire indicate that there are 51.8% who already understand and apply the Inner However the jewelry there are 48.2% who do not understand, not hesitating even use outwardly by wearing gold jewelry on hands and clothes were expensive. The purpose of this study for the first, to analyze the sociological reality of understanding the Church of Use Jewelry based on 1 Peter 3: 3-4 in the Seventh-day Adventist congregation Region 5, Conference of Jakarta and its surroundings in a professional manner. The second analysis theological understanding of the Church about the reality of Use Jewelry based on 1 Peter 3: 3-4 in the Seventh-day Adventist congregation Region 5, DKI Jakarta Area Conference professionally. Third, analyzing the administrative reality of understanding the church members about the use of jewelry based on 1 Peter 3: 3-4 in the Seventh-day Adventist church region 5, Conference of Jakarta and its surroundings in a professional manner. Fourth, perform analysis directly or through a questionnaire survey of understanding the reality of members of the Church of jewelry based on 1 Peter 3: 3-4 in the Seventh-day Adventist church region 5, Conference of Jakarta and surrounding areas. The final conclusion of this experiment showed that the Biblical understanding of the jewelry and the application of SDA church members in Region 5, was found to be much less understand. It is evident from the statement of respondents, of which 100% of the respondents, comprised of 51.8% SDH understand biblical jewelry but there are 48.2% who do not understand the Biblical jewelry, so the application.
