ANALISIS PERANAN MEDIA MASSA DALAM PENGINJILAN BERDASARKAN MATIUS 24:14 DALAM GEREJA MASEHI ADVENT HARI KETUJUH DI DISTRIK SURAKARTA

Bartolomeus Diaz N. MPS College : Universitas Advent Indonesia Living in the era of all modern technologies like today makes everything easy. Many things can be done with existing technology today. One technology that is often used people in general is the technology of mass media. The mass media is meant newspapers, magazines, radio, television, internet. Through mass media technologies have many things to do, including as a means of communication, education and entertainment. The mass media has helped make it easier for people to access, gather and disseminate information. Even with the mass media is also very helpful someone to run the job. In the midst of a situation where the mass media increasingly important and widely used by the community, the church as an agent of evangelization life struggles faced: how churches can utilize the mass media effectively as a tool and a means of evangelization and care for the interests of the kingdom of God on this earth. Calls to convey the message of the Word of God is found in Matthew 24:14 that says so "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, sesudaah the end will come." The word "reported" to have the basic word "news." The word "news" in the New Testament in Greek is "kerysso" meaning the announcement by a herald. The word "preach" means that it is made known to everyone about the good news of the kingdom of heaven, for a witness to all nations. In principle we should use every tool that is as far as possible in order to make the truth clearly widespread. There are some positive impact on the use of the mass media that can be used by churches, among others: the mass media is an effective tool for communicating to the public, the media can influence the attitude and mindset of people, useful for the mass media evangelism. However, that the negative impacts of the use of the mass media are to be anticipated include: consumerism, evil, individualism, the beauty of nature just outside, distract from the truth and influence the mindset of children. As for the attitude of the church that need to be developed for the mass media is: a positive attitude, which is to harness the mass media, creative attitude, critical attitude, and realistic attitude. Based on the above problems, the research conducted as follows: That the church Seventh-day Adventists in the Surakarta District can fight and prevent negative nature and destructive mass media are very influential, also that Seventh-day Adventists seventh district of Surakarta can utilize mass media effectively and positively for the sake of spreading the Gospel in the Seventh-day Adventist Church District Surakarta, Central Java, and that members of Seventh-day Adventist church in Surakarta District may use the mass media for spiritual growth. By looking at the problem above, "ANALISYS ROLE OF MEDIA IN THE MISSIONARY BY MATTHEW 24:14 IN DISTRICT Surakarta" to "positive and negative impacts of mass media (X1), to the" use of the mass media in evangelization "(X2), to the" Attitude church in evangelism "(X3), the conclusion and the core purpose of this paper the authors will display the results of the analysis of the realities of research as respondents in the application are performed in three parts as follows: The survey results from 150 respondents who answered each question on the questionnaire, the results obtained: First, the positive and negative impacts of mass media, give a score of answers to the questionnaire in value by 3.62. It means that the overall average of respondents agree with the positive and negative impacts of mass media. Secondly, use of the mass media in evangelization, giving answers to the questionnaire score value of 3.99. It means that the overall average of respondents agree with the use of the mass media in evangelism. Third, the attitude of the church in evangelism Competence provide the answers to the questionnaire score value of 3.65. It means that the overall average of respondents agree with the attitude of the church in evangelism Competence. It can be concluded that the role of mass media in evangelism based on Matthew 24:14 GMAHK Surakarta District with a total average score of 3.76.artinya they agree the role of mass media in evangelism is based on Matthew 24:14 in Surakarta District Seventh-day Adventists.
