ABSTRACT ADMINISTRATION OF GREEN SPINACH JUICE (AMARANTHUS HYBRIDUS L.) AND RED SPINACH JUICE (ALTHERNANTHERA AMOENA VOSS) IN HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL ON FEMALE STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA Novita Wydiasari Simalango NIM: 1351031 Hemoglobin levels can be increased by eating iron-containing foods such as green spinach juice (Amaranthus Hybridus L.) and red spinach juice (Althernanthera Amoena Voss), but it is not known yet which one is more effective at increasing hemoglobin levels. The objective of this study was to analyze the difference of hemoglobin level after administration of green spinach juice (Amaranthus Hybridus L.) and red spinach juice (Althernanthera Amoena Voss) to female students at UNAI. The research design used in this research was pre-experimental study with static group comparison design. The subjects of this study were 20 female students with mild category of anemia to very mild category and they were divided into two groups where 10 people were given green spinach juice and 10 people were given red spinach juice for 5 days. Measurements of hemoglobin levels were performed twice, before and after intervention. Hemoglobin levels were measured using a hemoglobin electrical device. The results of this study indicated that hemoglobin levels after being given green spinach juice (Amaranthus Hybridus L.) and red spinach (Althernanthera Amoena Voss) to boarding female college students at the Adventist of Advent Indonesia increased from a mild category of anemia to normal category. It can be concluded that there is no significant difference in hemoglobin levels after administration of green spinach juice (Amaranthus Hybridus L.) and red spinach juice (Althernanthera Amoena Voss) to female students at UNAI.
