ABSTRACT DURATION OF THE USE OF THE INTERNET AGAINST SCENE INSOMNIA AT ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA CRY CHERIS TUMBEL NIM: 1351076 This research is motivated by a survey conducted at Advent Indonesia University to 55 students found 37 students (67%) experienced sleep patterns due to using the internet, therefore the purpose of this research is to identify the duration of internet usage for female students at Advent Indonesia University, to identify how The incidence of insomnia in female students using the internet at Advent Indonesia University, identified a relationship between the duration of Internet use and the incidence of insomnia among female students at the Adventist University of Indonesia. The method used in this research is descriptive correlation. The sampling technique was chosen by saturated sampling which amounted to 133 respondents. From the research results obtained average value of internet usage duration is 198.66 included in the old category which means female students use the internet with a long duration of> 40 hours / month, the average value of insomnia incidence is 29.27 included in the category always which means Female students always experience insomnia that is 29,27> 24 respondent's answer, there is no significant relation between duration of internet usage (X) with incident of insomnia (Y), got p-value value 0,393 included in low category or weak suggestion in this research student, Based on the results of this study the authors provide advice to female students to use the duration of the internet wisely so as not to affect the number of hours of sleep that can cause insomnia, Nursing field, it is advisable to add khasanah science about the relationship of the duration of internet use to the insomnia student incident, To see the relationship between duration of internet use with the incidence of insomnia.
