ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF WORSHIP MEETINGS TO THE GROWTH OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBER IN THE REGION EIGHTEEN OF JAKARTA LOCAL CONFERENCE BASED ON PHILOSOPHY HEBREW 10:25 Researcher Nama : Adib Budi Satriyo Name and Title : Magister Filsafat (M.Fil) Supervisor : Dr. R.M Hutabarat, MA, M.Div End Date : 16 April 2018 Worship is something that can never be separated from the wholeness of a religion, and each religion has a different religious ordinance, but it is always something that always exists in religious life. Worship organized by the church must serve to equip the congregation to carry out God's mission in the midst of the world. Church and worship is like a coin that has two sides that can not be separated. The Apostle Paul states in 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 concerning a situation in human life at the end of the age which is called a modern man, one of which does not care about religion. According to Ellen G White that worship is a meeting between man or his people with God. So worship is a very important activity in the spiritual life of God's people. Modern life that demands more attention has made worship lose its appeal. With such a dense work activity, the flurry of entertainment and social media rush has made the people of God begin to share their attention from spiritual matters. On the one hand, the Church as an institution that organizes worship is unable to fulfill the wishes of modern humans to make the worship entertaining and interesting so that they remain interested to follow the worship. The phenomenon experienced by the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a research instrument of researchers has also shown a decline in the interest of members of the congregation in interpreting worship as a very important part in their spiritual life. The worship that is held every Wednesday night is usually called the Prayer Meetings, the late congregation attend the Sabbath service, the silence of the Sabbath School hours, the declining interest of members towards the Revival Meetings and some other worship. The role of worship in modern human life is expressed in Hebrews 10:25 which says, "Let us not distance ourselves from our assemblies, as some are accustomed to, but let us exhort one another, and even more so as the day of the Lord approacheth. "The word worship meeting in Greek ἐπι-συναγωγή" episunagoge ", which is interpreted as gathered together and interesting is the previous word" do not abstain "in Greek" ekataleipo "leaving not only do not go but also not involved anything inside it. So in principle we should not abandon the gathering of worship, gather together to increase spirituality ahead of Jesus' second coming. Based on the above problems then held research on the role of worship meetings in the growth of the church congregation SDA Region XVIII Jakarta Local Conference. Data collection techniques recognized in the study were direct observation, literature search, questionnaire usage. Statistical analysis using ANOVA. Analysis is needed to determine whether data analysis for testing can proceed or not. Therefore, variant analysis requires validity, reliability, normality, linearity, hypothesis and descriptive statistics. Number of respondents who have filled out questionnaires from 30 items about 120 respondents. The conclusion of this study is that first, worship meetings are able to ward off the influences of modern life in the life of members of the congregation by worshiping God guiding righteous living before God and worshiping God will be able to strengthen faith in the face of world attraction. Second, the role of worship meetings brings the spiritual growth of members of the church by worshiping God will gain a better knowledge of God's word and bring passion in working for the Lord. Third, the impact of correct understanding of the philosophy of worship meetings based on Hebrews 10:25 in improving the spirit of the members of the congregation to attend the worship meeting is to worship together will give spirit to continue worship at the next time and will strengthen the sense of kinship.
