ABSTRACT Family Experience in Caring for The Elderly with High Dependence at Puskesmas Parongpong RW 13 Cihanjuang Rahayu Village West Bandung District Natalia NIM : 1351039 The purpose of this fenomenological descriptive research is to attain the meaning and experience of the family in caring for the elderly with high dependence at Puskesmas Parongpong RW 13 Cihanjuang Rahayu Village West Bandung province. The data is gained from 5 family members that provides nursing care plan to the elderly and is analyzed using the collaizzi method. The result describes the reason to care for the elderly, physical experience, psychological experience, social economics experience, spiritual experience and intellectual experience. The suggestion for the Puskesmas to hold a family assistance program especially in caring for the elderly with high dependence at home. In the health education program and University we advice to give information more to the family that is caring for the elderly with high dependence about caring in the right way and other health information needed. To the government in providing health assurance especially for the elderly to facilitate and ease administration and in facilitating health transportation services. For the research department to conduct the same research in different regions to obtain a better understanding for various family experience in different regions in Indonesian.
