ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT TBC DISEASE BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING TO STUDENTS AT DANIEL DORMITORY ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Intan Samuellawaty Saefeto Putri NIM: 1351044 Knowledge of tuberculosis was misunderstood by students at Daniel Dormitory Adventist University of Indonesia, based on interviews conducted prior to the study. Some students do not understand how to spread tuberculosis and how to prevent it. This study was conducted to find out the description of the level of knowledge of students about TB disease in Daniel Dormitory Adventist University of Indonesia. The design used in the research is non experimental comparative descriptive. Respondents in this study amounted to 81 people. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire consisting of 20 items of questions. The data is calculated using the percentage formula and the paired t-test formula. The calculation results show that the percentage of knowledge of the students before the counseling is 68.02 in the knowledge category more than enough. The result of calculating percentage value after counseling is 87,53 in very good category. The results also show that there is a significant difference between the level of knowledge about tuberculosis before and after counseling with sig value.
