ABSTRACT The mother knowledge Before and After of advanteges baby massaging at Cihanjuang Village RW.6 West Bandung NAMA : YUNITA YETRIANI TANGDIALLA NIM: 1351028 Research was motivated from results of interviews with most of the mothers that researchers encountered at RW 06, Village Cihanjuang West Bandung. Some of the mothers who had researchers interview do not know the advantages of baby massaging. Baby massaging very helpful for baby body, Baby massage is a touch therapy that is given to babies who can guarantee their body contact between baby and mother. The general objective of this study was to find out whether there is a significant difference between the mother's knowledge about the benefits of infant massage before and after counseling at Rw 6 Villages Cihanjuang. The method used in this study are pre experimental design methods one group pretest-posttes. The research population is society at RW.6 the village Cihanjuang West Bandung, sample of 42 mothers were selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument is a questionnaire of 15 multiple-choice items that have been at Test Validation, by the implementation of conform baby massaging with reference to the Handbook of Infant Massage (Roesli 2016). Before the counseling level of public knowledge is high (70.32) And after counseling level of public knowledge a very high (90, 17) so there is a very significant difference between the mother's knowledge about the benefits of baby massaging before and after counseling at Rw 6 Villages Cihanjuang. Recommendations for Posyandu RW 06 Cihanjuang village, Bandung in this case cadres local village often given counseling should be expected giving information about the broadest possible health for both mother and child. For the research, the next expected results of this study can be used as a basis for the development of research related to baby massage with implementation of baby massage and educating mother’s of the benefits of baby massage.
