ABSTRACT COMMUNITY NURSING WORK WITH HYPERTENSION IN RW 05 VILLAGE KARYAWANGI PANYAIRAN DANO DISTRICT PARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG Ayu Permata Sari Purba NIM: 1753011 Indonesia Health Profile (2016) showed most cases of hypertension in the community have not been diagnosed. Data of Indonesia Health Profile also showed hypertension prevalence in Indonesia of 31,7%, which only 7,2% among population who already knew had hypertension and only 0,4% of cases were taking hypertension medications, as well as 765 cases of hypertension in the community undiagnosed. Data obtained when student doing nursing practice of community in RW 05 village Karyawangi Panyairan Dano district Parongpong West Bandung, showed case of hypertension as many as 59 from 601 citizen, and this disease is ranked second. Based on interviews and assessment, 59% of hypertensive patients were control routine, 27% of hypertensive patients do not regularly take medication, and 8% of patients never control because they do not know suffer from hypertension. community nursing diagnoses that appear in RW 05 are associated with a lack of community knowledge about hypertension and cigarette. The intervention provided is health education on the introduction of hypertension and the danger of smoking. At the end, health education was done well, people were enthusiastic to listen to the material, proactive to answering the questions posed by presenter, and able to practice hypertension gymnastics.
