ABSTRACT “NURSING CARE PLAN ON MR. A. WITH DISORDERS OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM: COPD IN THE THIRD FLOOR, BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL” Complied by: Yohanes Punta Dewa NIM: 1452010 This paper is backgrounded because COPD is one of the biggest causes of death in Indonesian. The incidence of COPD in Indonesia occupies the fifth position in the world that is 7.8 million people. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to provide a real picture of nursing care on Tn. A with major problems COPD includes 5 stages of nursing care that is: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The method used in writing is descriptive, and data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The nursing problem that came up on Tn. A is an ineffective breathing pattern, anxiety, gas exchange disruption, and activity intolerance. Implementation given is the provision of health education about the disease of COPD suffered by the patient. The conclusion of this paper is at the review stage not all studies are found in the patient. In the planning and implementation stages all work well. At the evaluation stage the goals to be achieved in the four nursing diagnoses that appear can be resolved well. Suggestions on nurses should be able to carry out assessments that include data collection, anaisis data, determine the problem, formulate the problem of nursing diagnosis both actual and potential and the family teach to the client's family in the long-term implementation including the signs of symptoms of COPD complications.
