ABSTRACT NURSING CARE TO CHILD PATIENT J. WITH NERVOUS SYSTEM PROBLEM : MENINGITIS IN WEST WING III FLOOR III AT BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Zilla Christy Maranatha NIM: 1452037 The purpose of writing this thesis due to object that meningitis as a disease and it classified in very serious disease because it could cause mortality and morbidity. Meningitis infect some parts of the brain where the brain is one of a vital organ in the body that has a function in controlling the human body. Meningitis can cause disability until death. Meningitis account for 30% of deaths despite being handled by the medical team. The purpose of writing this paper is to gain experience about nursing care in children with meningitis disease. The method has used such as descriptive method and data collection technique by observation technique, interview, documentation, literature study, and electronic media. The nursing problems found in Pt. A with meningitis during nursing care is a physical disorder, nutritional imbalance, risk of injury, and anxiety. Further, the treatment process for patients with meningitis should be given comprehensively and the implementation of nursing actions desperately requires the good cooperation of the patient as well as the family and also the nurse is expected to maintain the nursing team's cooperation in assisting and caring for the client in order to maintain the professional nurse's quality.
