ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION ABOUT APOSTASY OF THE EXISTENCE OF SOCIETY SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH METRO JAKARTA IN POSO DISTRICT PROVINCE CENTRAL SULAWESI UNDER PROVERBS 12: 28 Researcher name : Kalvin Rantung Name and title : M. Nainggolan, MPS Finish Date : May 15, 2016 This thesis begins with a background briefing on the issue of understanding the church members in Poso district of apostasy against those who have joined the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Church Metro Jakarta according to Proverbs 12:28 "In the path of righteousness there is life, but the road to apostasy leads to death." This research was conducted in the neighborhood of six members in the church in Poso district by the number of participants as many as 110 people. This study uses indicators of understanding of the church members against apostasy related to the presence Society Seventh-day Adventist Church Metro Jakarta by Proverbs 12:28, namely: 1. Spirituality Quality of Membership 2. Understanding of the Church Members of the Church of the True God 3. Understanding and Application of apostasy according to Proverbs 12:28 This study aims to: Knowing how high the level of understanding church members against apostasy is based on Proverbs 12:28 and their influence on the spiritual growth of members of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Poso. In 2006, some members of the congregation is no longer the same vision with the leaders of Seventh-day Adventist Church Local Mission Central Sulawesi because desire is not granted, related to the government project to rebuild the church and house manse that has been damaged looted and set on fire during a riot. Poso region has gone through such a sad riot that make the church members is reduced and there is a perverse character of the organization. Other church members who remained consistent in its stand for believing that this church is the church of God which is the last in this world. When members move on to another organization, whether it is called apostasy? Apostate, in the large Indonesian Dictionary, is: "to turn back; turned heathen; discard faith; changed to refuse. Judging from the seminars or papers and explanations given to each member of the church in the district of Poso should be enough to understand or comprehend the concept of apostasy for members who come out of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is based on the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White which refers to Proverbs 12: 28. Convinced that came out of the church and consequently this means apostasy is death. This understanding will make God's people more cautious in accepting a new understanding and more courage will learn the word of God from being misled by unscrupulous people who are not responsible. The work that has been given by God is to continue to provide insight to the church members to remain faithful in the church of God and to have left the church of God in order to be back soon. Approach and calls for a return still be given serious attention. Because of Ellen G. White stated that out of this church means apostasy from the truth. An understanding of apostasy can be a positive influence on loyalty members of the congregation to the church of God and the growth of the church in Poso, both quantitatively and qualitatively spiritual in preparing themselves to welcome the Lord Jesus at times a second. Positively, the church members will be cautious in accepting the new school and investigate based on the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. Congregation members will be invited to guide those who have come out and join the association Jakarta Metro Seventh-day Adventists to return to church the true God. The method used in this research is quantitative research. The approach is an explanatory-confirmatory, ie the type of survey and data collection tools used in the form of a questionnaire to measure the variable understanding and application of the apostate church members against the transfer of members of the church to the Society Seventh-day Adventist Church Metro Jakarta based Proverbs 12:28 with a scale of choice answers 1 -5. The conclusions were drawn based on the analysis and discussion as well as the results of the research is as follows: The level of understanding of the apostate church members against the church members who went into Society Seventh-day Adventist Church Metro Jakarta in Poso Central Sulawesi Regional Mission by Proverbs 12: 28 is very good. The test results of descriptive statistics per congregation results from highest score to lowest row Pandiri namely the Church, the Church of Salukaia, Tangkura the Church, the Church of Poso Kota, Wawopada of the church, and the church of Pendolo. Based on the test results of descriptive statistics can be concluded that members can rely on God to perform routine activities and make him a source of strength and inspiration in every aspect of life and if faithful to God, thanks to a haven flows continue in their every day lives. Based on the results of this study are expected church will produce church members who have the quality of life of spiritual and theological knowledge, which in turn will be individuals who are strong in faith until the day of Maranata.
