ABSTRACT THE METHOD OF RELAXATION BREATHING IN AND COLD COMPRESS ON THE SCALE OF DISMENORE ON A STUDENT OF UNIVERSITY ADVENTIST OF INDONESIA Ayu Priscilla Kana Wadu NIM: 1351063 The method of relaxation breathing in and cold compress on the scale of dismenore on a student of university adventist of indonesia.Research was conducted to determine which method is the more effective between relaxation breathing in and cold compress on the scale of dismenore on a student of university advent.The research method used was pre the experiment with design pre-test and post-test experiment.The subject in this study as many as 30 people in for the two groups according, that is 15 people in the relaxation breathing in and 15 people in the cold compress.Determination of sample intervention is done by way of determining 15 the first subject that have signed informed consen in the intervention of relaxation breathing in and then 15 subject next will be determined in the intervention of the cold compress.The scale of the dismenore subject of research is measured before and after the relaxation breathing in and cold compress by using Numerical ratings Scale (NRS). The scale of the dismenore before the method of relaxation breathing in is 5, 00 are included in the category of pain and the dismenore before pemberiam cold compress are in the category of pain was 5, 00. After the method of relaxation breathing in pain down to mild pain that is, she and the dismenore after the cold compress was 2, 87 are included in the category of mild pain.The result after and before the implementation of the calculated using the mean and continued with the wilcoxon.The test results normality to show that the data was found to berdistribusi not normal that the test is used is the Mann-Whitney.The calculations of the statistics group relaxation breathing in showing that the p = 0.001 < a 0,05 which means that Ho was rejected.The calculations of the statistics of the cold compress to show that the p = 0,000 < a 0,05 which means that there is no significant differences of scale dismenore between the method of relaxation breathing in and cold compress.
