ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF THE THEOLOGICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBER CIBEBER, CIMAHI CONCERNING THE DIFFERANCE OF THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH AND THE DESIRE OF THE SPIRIT BASED ON ROMANS 8: 5-13 This research belogs to examine the understanding of the meaning of the Flesh’s desire and the Spirit's desire based on Romans 8: 5-13. The author focused to research at Seventh-day Adventist Church of Cibeber. The study had a based with six major Indicators: the notion of the desired of the flesh of Romans 8: 5-13, the desired of the Spirit's in Romans 8: 5-13, the characteristics of the flesh of Romans 8: 5-13, the characteristics of the Spirit's desired in Romans 8: 5-13, how to control the desired of the flesh and how to aroused the desired of the spirit. This research covers 6 parts; (1) The intention of the flesh in Romans 8: 5-13. Some studied claim that the craving of the flesh is the thought of things of the flesh, the enmity against God, unlikely to favor God and not subject to the law; (2) The understood of the Spirit's desired in Romans 8: 5-13. The expert stated that the desired of the Spirit was to though of things of the Spirit, the Spirit of God dwells in you and the sentence of the law; (3) The characteristics of the fleshly desired in Romans 8: 5-13. The expert stated that the characteristic of the flesh's desired was to focused on the flesh, to indulge the body and to surrendered the body to the flesh; (4) The characteristics of the Spirit's desired in Romans 8: 5-13. The expert stated that the characteristics of the Spirit's desired were centered on the Spirit, lived in the Spirit and followed the God’s will; (5) Controlled the desired of the flesh. The expert stated that controlled the desired of the flesh can be done by felt that it has been liberated by Christ to be a servant of God, things of the Spirit and obeyed God's commands; (6) Raised the desired of the Spirit. The expert stated that raised the Spirit's desired through intimate fellowship with Christ, walk daily with the Spirit. The research method using conducted through questionnaires distributed to 29 members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Cibeber Church at Cimahi, where the questionnaire contains 19 points statement, yielded a data that can be concluded that the respondents have a good understood to answered the indicator of question to this studied.
