Dr. S. Hutagalung. M.Fil End Date : 17 April 2018 The human body needs renewal and is filled with food regularly otherwise it will die. The same conditions apply to the church, the body of Christ. Therefore, one of the necessities for the church to remain dynamic and to grow is evangelism. If the church does not involve itself seriously in evangelism, then the church will die. Every church needs to engage in such preaching or evangelization. We need to preach the gospel to those around us or our neighbors first, in the city and in the village, wherever God places us The obligation to preach the gospel is the responsibility of everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Every believer is obligated to preach the gospel according to the abilities and gifts the Holy Spirit gives to him. And that is what the early church did in their desire to proclaim the good news to all those longing to be saved. The determination of God on the mission of outreach evangelism through the small group entering all stages of the human community up to every tribe, language and people needs a special study and it is essential to get the attention of churches today to apply the basic method of evangelism Biblical superior. The purpose of this study is first, to contribute to the Pastors and Assembly in service responsibilities to promote the growth of small groups in the congregation. Second, to contribute to the Pastors and the Assembly and the congregation in service for the growth of the Small Group. Third, to contribute to Pastors and Assembly to provide training in preparing congregations to participate actively in outreach evangelism through the Small Group. The Church is a community whose citizens are also complementary to one another. The church was established by God to be a witness to Christ and to serve others. Spiritual formation of members of the church is not only obtained through preaching and coaching, but also through life with fellow believers, and through interaction with each other. When the Lord Jesus said to His disciples that they would be witnesses to Him after the Holy Spirit came upon them, He said that they first testified in their own place in Jerusalem. After preaching the gospel in Jerusalem they spread to Judea and to Samaria and finally to the ends of the earth. The effectiveness of our evangelization depends on the degree of God's love through us. And that depends on the love that is within us. As we actively participate in evangelism our faith will continue to grow and we will be strengthened in the truth. The study was conducted at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kupang District of Nusa Tenggara Region which includes six congregations.
