This study aims to determine the effectiveness of vinca (Catharantus roseus) on liver function Wistar rat model of hepatitis strains. The method used is an experimental laboratory using rat strains wistar. 10 male rats were divided into two groups, namely the control and treatment groups. Each consisting of 5 male rats. The control group was given only the mineral water and the treatment group was given water boiled vinca as much as 3.6 cc / day. Provision is made after 7 days and 7 days adaptation process Paracetamol injection process to damage the liver. The level of SGPT, SGOT performed on the 15th day. Content data acquisition SGPT, SGOT calculated using the mean, and then to look for differences through independent t-test. The results of this study showed average levels of alanine aminotransferase control group was 116.8 U / L and SGOT 231.8 U / L. Results of research for the treatment group ALT levels was 83.2 U / L and SGOT 192.4 U / L. Statistical test results for the concentration of ALT is the t value (6,463)> t table (2,776) and for SGOT t (4.3699)> t table (2,776), then Ho is accepted (Ha rejected) with significance at a level of 95% or α = 0:05. It is concluded that there are significant differences between the levels of SGPT and SGOT blood of male rats wistar strain between the control group and the treatment group.
