XMLABSTRAK Judul Tesis : PEMAHAMAN ANGGOTA GMAHK TERHADAP PERATURAN DAN PENDISIPLINAN ANGGOTA YANG BERSALAH BERDASARKAN MATIUS 18:15-18 DI WILAYAH XII KONFERENS DKI JAKARTA & SEKITARNYA Nama : Ucok Steven Marbun Gelar : Magister Ilmu Filsafat Pembimbing : DR. MPS Tanggal Gelar diberikan : 8 Mei 2017 Perguruan Tinggi : Universitas Advent Indonesia This thesis begins with a background explanation of the problem regarding the Understanding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Member on the Rules and Discipline of Guilty Members Based on Matthew 18: 15-18 In the XII Region of the Conference of DKI Jakarta & Surrounding. As a keyword: Rules and Discipline. Discussion of the Church's Rule and Discipline is very relevant to the condition of the church today, because many churches or churches are split because they do not practice the rules and discipline in the church. Today as a congregation is rarely in control, rebuke and guide sinful church members to repent and return to God. The Church that strives to keep faithful in the Word of God is often weak in the enforcement of church discipline. Such churches generally argue that church discipline can be bad for people who make mistakes, they can be offended and can leave the church. There are those who think there is no good reason to punish or discipline a person simply for the sin of a sin, especially the one who commits wrong is a respected, rich and powerful person. Not willing to punish them for fear of running to another church. The importance of discipline and discipline as a means of promoting spiritual growth encourages other members of the congregation to pay attention to every congregation to rebuke "those who live in disorderly ways, comfort those who are discouraged, let the weak, be patient with all" (1 Thess 5: 14). Thus, the purposes of this discipline are: First, Saving the church (1 Corinthians 5: 5). Second, Saving the guilty (1 Cor 5: 2, 5 Jesus gave the method to rebuke everyone who did wrong or break the command of God in the Gospel of Matthew 18: 15-18 given concrete rules about grazing especially for the guilty members. By the way: First, Rebuking with the intention that each person is accountable to one another (I Thess 5: 11,14 ie mutually advising, helping, entertaining and maintaining each other). Second, the four eyes mean without witness, so that we may recover our brother who is guilty. Third, two or three people (Eight Eyes) under the four eyes do not succeed, then one can be asked by the help of one or two witnesses. The witness here serves as a "conversational partner" who is the one who helps to make the conversation work well and with the spirit of brotherhood. Fourth, bring it to the Church when the reprimand with the witness is unsuccessful, then the matter must be communicated to the church (church). Fifth, seeing as a person who does not know God means that person should be viewed as a person who is not God and therefore should be ostracized. But that does not mean excluding his whole life, he must remain in prayer because the intent of discipline is not destructive but to enable it to return. The study was conducted at the Regional Conference of XII Konferens of DKI Jakarta & Surroundings, with the aim of knowing the extent to which church members understand the importance of the rules and discipline of the guilty members, as well as the extent to which the members and elders of the congregation understood the basis of the rule and discipline it was God's love to preserve holiness The church of God as well as how many members run the rules and discipline in the right way to promote the growth of the congregation. The method used in this study is quantitative research, and data collection tools used in the form of questionnaires to measure the understanding of the members of the GMAHK against the rules and discipline based on Matthew 18: 15-18 in the area XII Konferens DKI Jakarta & Surrounding. The results of the study show that the "Rule and Discipline of Spiritual Enhance" (X1), on "Rule and Discipline is a Picture of God's Love" (X2), against "Exhorting and Correcting the Righteous" (X3), as the conclusion and core of the purpose of this writing, The authors will display the results of research analysis as the reality of respondents' answers in the application that appears in three parts are as follows: The results of a survey of 150 respondents who answered each questionnaire on the questionnaire obtained the lowest comprehension result is point number 10 with an average score of 3.48 means that many members of the congregation still do not understand the importance of the rules and discipline of guilty members. This should be a serious concern through the role of pastors and elders of the congregation to motivate every member of the congregation in order for spirituality to grow and in God's way. The results of this study also shows from all variables, among others: First, Rule and Discipline Improving Spirituality, giving score answers to the questionnaire value of 3.99. This means that overall the average respondent agreed to the Rules and Discipline Improving Spirituality. Secondly, Rule and Discipline is a Picture of God's Love, giving a score of answers to the questionnaire of 3.96. This means that overall the average respondent agreed to the Rules and Discipline is a picture of God's Love. Third, Advise and Honor the True, giving score answer to the questionnaire value of 4.16. This means that overall the average respondent agrees to Advise and Honor the Right. So it can be concluded that the Advocacy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Member Against the Rules and Discipline of Guilty Members Based on Matthew 18: 15-18 In the XII Region of the DKI Jakarta Conference & Surrounding, with an average total score of 4.03 means they agree Understanding Member of Adventist Church Seventh Day Against the Rules and Discipline of Guilty Members Based on Matthew 18: 15-18 In the XII Region of the Conference of DKI Jakarta & Surrounding. The final section is the conclusion of the analysis of field research, the implications and suggestions that can be carried out so that each member of the congregation understands the importance of disciplining and disciplining members guilty for the growth of the congregation.
