MANFAAT BLEWAH (cuacurbita melo) TERHADAP TEKANAN DARAH PADA WANITA DEWASA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI DESA KANCAH KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

ABSTRACT BENEFITS CANTALOUPE (Cucurbita Melo) ON BLOOD PRESSURE IN ADULT WOMEN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS IN THE KANCAH VILLAGE WEST BANDUNG REGENCY This research is motivated by research conducted by Dian Lestari proving that with enough potassium intake can lower blood pressure in hypertensive women with 30-40 years of age. The general objective of this study is to see is there any benefits of cantaloupe juice to decrease blood pressure in adult hypertensive women in the Kancah Village RT 03 RW 17 Subdistrict Parongpong West Bandung Regency. The method used in this study is pra-eksperimental design, with a research design using methods one group pretets-postest design. The population used is adult women aged 20-45 years with hypertension. Samples in this study amounted to 20 adult women with hypertension and selected purposive sampling. The instrument used was a blood pressure gauge sphygmomanometer digital OMRON brand and pieces of documentation to record the blood pressure of respondents. Before giving the cantaloupe juice respondents in the Kancah village RT 03 RW 17 have hypertension, with the average value of blood pressure 147/ 95 MmHg. After giving the cantaloupe juice and blood pressure of respondents decreased by an average blood pressure of 131/82 mmHg. Thus the value of α> (0:05) which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected or no benefits of cantaloupe juice on blood pressure. Suggestions for the field of nursing and cadres in the Kancah village RT 03 RW 17: Use this research as a public counseling for people with hypertension. Field of Research: For research fields in order to use cantaloupe juice as an herbal treatment for lowering blood pressure in male respondents. Keywords: Hypertension, Juice Cantaloupe
