ABSTRACT PREGNANT WOMAN KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHRONIC ENERGY (KEK) IN PUSKESMAS PARONGPONG DISTRICT PARONGPONG DISTRICT BANDUNG BARAT Herni Rolen Simbolon NIM:1451079 Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) is the mother's condition that resulted in the emergence of maternal health problems. Chronic Energy Deficiency (SEZ) affects the mother and fetus it contains. The impact on pregnant women is easily tired, weak and pale face. Similarly, the fetus in the womb, growth inhibited, even can become congenital defects, low birth weight (LBW) and even result in death in the fetus. Knowledge plays an important role in the life of pregnant women. Pregnant women's knowledge about chronic energy deficiency (KEK) is the result of knowing and occurs after people do sensing on certain object of sensation happened of human senses namely: sight, hearing, taste smell and touch. Much of human knowledge is obtained through the eyes and ears. The purpose of research to know the knowledge of pregnant women about the dangers of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in the work area Puskesmas Parongpong Parongpong District West Bandung regency. Quantitative research design with survey design. The population used in this research is trimester 1 pregnant women in the Village of Karyawangi, Cihanjuang Rahayu Village, Cihanjuang Village, Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency. Samples used 60 respondents trimester 1 pregnant women with total sampling technique. The instrument used is questionnaire. Data analysis using mean. From the result of data processing, the knowledge level of pregnant mother shows that the value of the researcher is enough with the criterion of C-value. To the Puskesmas provide counseling about the effects of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women. Keywords: KEK, Pregnant Mother, Knowledge
