ABSTRACT Thesis Title : AN PHILOSOPHY ANALYSIS OF THE PARENT’S ROLE TO TEACH BIBLE FOR FAITH GROWTH OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH DISTRIC SILINDUNG’S CHILDREN BASED ON DEUTRONOMY 6:7 Researcher Name : Marganda Gunawan Purba Name and Degree : Magister Ilmu Filsafat (M.Fil) Material Advisor : Dr. Stimson Hutagalung, M. Min Comletion Date : 1st April 2019 College : Universitas Advent Indonesia An Philosophy Analysis of the parent’s role to teach bible for faith growth of Seventh day Adventist church distric Silindung’s children based on Deutronomy 6 : 7 . The topic about parent’s role to teach bible for children’s faith growth is a very important thing in this era, especially a world full of crime and where morals are degenerating. This topic is very important especially for Seventh Day Adventist Church Silindung district that includes five churches where the number of the member’s children apostasy is abaout 110 people, although in the childhood, their teenagers diligently attend worship in the church and actively take part in the worship, but after they’re adult and got married they left the truth and apostate from the bible truth , parent’s trust and teaching, If about 110 Seventh Day Adventist Church member’s children did not left the bible truth, and keep their faith we believe the church’s members total now is progress and the evangelistic work should be more advanced in each churches compared to now. The apostasy’s total is a sadden thing, the member of the church can be increase if concern to prevent and back to bible way how to keep the heart in faith . The writer made a scientific researcher find how to prevent the apostasy in church member in SDA distric Silindung around Tarutung, Simorangkir, Pansurbatu , Sibalanga, and Parsingkaman church. A population Methode used by data collected such a quizioner to know an apostasy factor. The result is : First, The role of Parent’s in SDA distric Silindung to set up the principal truth to establish character of faith, include their child since early young in family continuously worship, is in third score that mean they worshiped occasionally. Second, Some who profess to be Christians have no family worship . Parents of SDA distric Silindung did not make every effort to teach bible and true worship to their child as the God’s word in Deutronomy 6 :7 says Thou shall teach them diligently, communicated with the Holy Things When thou sittest in thy house At work, or at meat, or at rest. When thou walkest by the way — For air and exercise, for conversation, or on journeys. When thou liest down is in third score means Doubt Third , Parents of SDA distric Silindung can not be a figure in holy life sees in 3.4 score means doubt. Because their parents have not a holy related with God. Based on the researcher result the conclution is that caused why the children of SDA member lefted the church after they grow up and marriage and forget the truth and they not faithfull. God do not like this situation. Our God have a prosperity plan to each Family . whose parent want to see their children stay in faith dan truth should understand and do something like : A child born in a family is inherited wealth from God which is really valuable in life. God gave it for the happiness for each parents. The real joy for parent is to hear that their children walk in truth now a days . make the Bible being a standard of life . This is not an easy duty for any parents , need a cooperation between husband and wife to surrender their child on to God will in their prayer and faith, ask God direct them in wisdom and power to lead , teach and care the children with the holy character from God. Teaching the Bible for the growth of the child's faith must be done repeatedly, discussing spiritual matters in every aspect of life, every time sitting, on the way, if lying down and if often the parents together with their children as God's Word in Deuteronomy 6: 7. Through worship in the household by including children in it is a way for parents to lay the foundation of Bible truths that become the basis of their faith in the future. Evironmental factors can affect a person's lifestyle and character, both parents and children, because children tend to see and imitate more mature people close to him. Parents are the first model and the lives of parents will be an example for their children, parents must first have a spiritual experience with Christ so that they can direct their children to the right teaching. When every parent does things like the description above, the children God gives in each family will bring blessings to parents. The final part of the writing is conclusions, analysis of field research, implications and suggestions that can be used as help for parents of members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church make their children faithful in the truths that they have known as children through their parents in the household and suppressing the amount of apostasy occurs.
