ABSTRACT MEASUREMENT OF TOTAL BACTERIA IN NURSING CLINICAL UNIFORM WITH TIME SERIES AS AN INDICATION OF NOSOCOMIAL INFECTION PREVENTION Fitri Carolina NIM: 1251013 Based on obsevations and interviews conducted by the research found that nursing students used their clinical uniform more than one day and use it to their home or dorm. Nursing students clinical uniform can be a medium in the spread of nosocomial infections for patients, other people or the students themselves. This study was conducted to determine differences in the number of bacteria on the clinical uniform as indicated in the prevention of nosocomial infections. Designs in this study is one-group repeated measure design. This study was conducted to determine differences in the number of bacteria on the clinical uniform as indicated in the prevention of nosocomial infections. Designs in this study is a one-group repeated measure design, was conducted by swapping Nutrient Agar plate with 15 before used clinical uniforms of the subject in the abdominal area. Then planting (incubation) using the incubator for 24 hours. The same treatment is done on a uniform first day and second day after used in the same group. From the results of the test plate count the number of colonies of bacteria per day in units of colonies/cm2. Samples were selected using simple random sampling method to students of Nursing Clinical Practice IV that is running a clinical practice in the medical section. The results of this study are the average number of bacteria uniforms before used was 7.31 colonies/cm2, first day after used was 10.48 colonies/cm2 and second day after used was 12.97 colonies/cm2. With the method of ANOVA analysis showed that there were significant differences with α <0,05 in the number of bacteria before used, first day after used and the second day after use on student PKK Advent IV Faculty of Nursing, Adventist University of Indonesia. The results of this study suggest that nurses replace the uniform every day and uniformly managed appropriately. Keywords: Bacteria, Clinical Uniform, Nosocomial Infection
