ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF POWDER CINNAMOMUM ZEYLANICUM TO THE WEIGHT DECREASE OF OBESE FEMALE STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA BANDUNG Deni Ernawati NIM: 1251027 Consuming Ceylon cinnamon powder can decrease weight in the obese (Nugroho, 2005). The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of ceylon cinnamon (cinnamomum zeylanicum) on body weight derease of obese female students with body mass index between 25 - > 30. The method used is pure experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population used was female students from Universitas Advent Indonesia dormitory. Subject role in this research amounted to 15 people chosen by purposive sampling. The instruments used were weight scales, microtoise stature meter, observation sheets and stationery. Materials used are steeping ground cinnamon ceylon (cinnamomum zeylanicum) of 32 mg x weight administered for 5 days. Weight data acquisition in this research is processed using mean formula then continued using paired t-test. The results of this research indicates that the value of weight before taking steeping celon cinnamon (cinnamomum zeylanicum) was 74.6 kg and after consuming steeping ceylon cinnamon (cinnamomum zeylanicum) for 5 days decreased to 73.5 kg and value tcount (3.21) > t-table (2.145) with 95% confidence level (α=0.05), which means that
 accepted and
 rejected. The conclusion from this research is that there is a difference of weight before and after administration of ceylo cinnamon (cinnamomum zeylanicum) on the obese students in Universitas Advent Indonesia. Keywords: Weight Loss, Obesity, Ceylon Cinnamon Powder (cinnamomum zeylanicum)
