ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION OFANXIETY LEVEL INPREOPERATIVE PATIENTS IN SURGICAL TREATMENT ROOM BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPTITAL Angelina Br Sihombing NIM: 1351005 An operative action is an invasive action, a potential or actual threat to the integrity of a person who can generate stress, physiological, or psychological reactions. Anxiety level is an affective disorder characterized by a deep and sustained sense of fear or anxiety, personality still intact, behavior can be disturbed but still within normal limits. This study aims to find out how the description of preoperative patient anxiety level in the surgical treatment room Medical Adventist Hospital. The research method used was descriptive. Sampling technique was accidental sampling with where the sample was 28 preoperative patients in medical surgery roombof Bandung AdventisbtHospital. The measuring tool used to measure anxiety levels was the Zung Self Anxiety Scale (SZAS) questionnaire. The results of this study indicated that the anxiety level of preoperative patients in the medical surgery room of Bandung Adventist Hospital was included in the occasional category (47.80). The suggestion that the researcher gives for the nursing profession is to provide nursing care that decrease the preoperative patient's anxiety, for the patient was expected to improve coping mechanism in overcoming anxiety to face surgery, and for research area, research result can be developed by examining the factors that influence anxiety in preoperative patients.
