ABSTRACT THE RELATIONS OF HAND WASHING WITH HELMINTHIASES EVENT ON STUDENT / I CLASS III PRIMARY SCHOOL IN KARYAWANGI Worm infection disease is still quite high in Indonesia. This things happens because less attention patterns of behavior clean and healthy living. This disease can interfere with a child's growth and impede achievement at primary school age. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between hand washing with worm disease incidence in students/i grade III SDN Karyawangi Village Parongpong District of West Bandung regency. The method used is descriptive correlation. The population used is the students/i grade III SDN amounted to 86 people between the ages of 7-10 years. The samples used were as many as 35 students/i selected by simple random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire to measure students' hand washing / i. Tool to check the stool of respondents are microscope, stool, and solvents Kato. Stool samples examined using the Kato Katz method. Of the 35 samples tested, found one positive sample containing the eggs or larvae, namely: Trichuris trichiura 25 / gr. The results showed the correlation between the incidence of hand washing with helminthiases is -128. Sig: -128 is smaller than the value of a = 0, 05 were used. It was concluded that there was no significant relationship between hand washing with worm disease incidence in students / i grade III SDN Karyawangi Parongpong District of West Bandung.
