ABSTRACT COMPARISON BETWEEN MENTIMUN (CUCUMIS SATIVUS L) AND MENTIMUN SURI (CURCUMIS LATIVUS) ON BLOOD PRESSURE STUDENT AT CAMPUS ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Elisabeth Sibarani NIM: 1251079 Hypertensive disease is not only affects adults, but at the age of 18 years have also been found have hypertension. Preliminary study on mahasiswi at the Campus Adventist University of Indonesia, from 50 mahasiswi there are 3 people who have prehypertension with systolic blood pressure 120-139 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 80-89 mmHg. The purpose of this study was to compare the mentimun and mentimun suri on blood pressure student at the Adventist University of Indonesia. The method used in this study is an experimental method that using models Two-Group Pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study is staying female students at the Campus Adventist University of Indonesia were selected based on purposive sampling. Samples numbered 28 people were divided into two groups: 14 were given a mentimun juice and 14 were given mentimun suri juice as much as 150 grams and are given every morning for 5 days. The results of this study showed the average blood pressure subject before the giving of mentimun juice is 130.9286 / 82.2143 mmHg and the average blood pressure after 5 days giving of mentimun juice is 122.8571 / 75.4286 mmHg while the average blood pressure subject before the giving of mentimun suri juice is 132.0714 /82.0714 mmHg and the average blood pressure after 5 days giving of mentimun suri juice is 121.4286 / 73.1429 mmHg. Data analysis using t-independent indicates that the value of p> (0.05). It is concluded that there was no significant difference between blood pressure after giving of mentimun juice and giving mentimun suri juice. Keywords: Cucumber, Cucumber Suri, Blood Pressure.
