ABSTRACT POCKET BEHAVIOR AND GROWTH OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN IN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF CIHANJUANG II BANDUNG BARAT Marlin Rohi Leo ID: 1151076 This research is motivated by the high pocket behavior of elementary school children Although it can contribute nutritional value for children, snack foods can also cause health problems, especially if the snacks are not prepared clean and qualify appropriate nutrient content. In addition to causing health problems, it also can cause the problem in child's growth when the nutritional value is not appropriate consumed. The method used is descriptive correlation with samples from 5th grade elementary school children in SDN Cihanjuang II selected with total sampling numbered by of 38 children. The instrument used is the demographic sheet, weight scales and measuring tapes. The results of this study indicate that the description of the behavior pocket 5 th grade students Cihanjuang II are in the often category and have a picture of normal growth. There is no enough evidence to describe the relationship between the behavior of pocket with the growth of school-age children in SDN Cihanjuang II. After conducting research and draw conclusions, the authors also wanted to give advice for the 5th grade students of SDN Cihanjuang II, parents, principals, and field of research. Advice can be given is for students in grade 5th of SDN Cihanjuang that through this research, it is hoped they can choose snack food more healthy and clean, for parents of students in order to provide information about the importance of balanced nutrition and choosing healthy snacks and also for the field of research to be developed in future studies.
