PEMBERIAN ASI (AIR SUSU IBU) EKSKLUSIF DAN NON EKSKLUSIF TERHADAP MORBIDITAS BAYI DI PUSKESMAS PARONGPONG KECAMATAN PARONGPONG

ABSTRACT THE PROVISION (THE MOTHER’S MILK) EKSKLUSIVE AND NON EXCLUSIVE TO INFANT MORBIDITY IN THE PARONGPONG PUBLIC HEALTH DISTRICTS OF PARONGPONG Infant morbidity and mortality in Indonesia is quite high. Meanwhile, in West Java, exclusive breastfeeding according to census data as much as 29.8% in 2007, that number dropped to 17.6% in 2008. Data from the Bandung Health Office (2007) the scope of exclusive breastfeeding in the city of Bandung, as many as 15 983 or 20.66% were breastfed exclusively. This research uses descriptive method, population in this study were infants aged 0-24 months who received breast milk during the first 6 months. using purposive sampling technique sumpling. Research instrument used is the observation sheet. The results of the research data obtained analyzed by univariate and bivariate oods ratio, while the statistical test used was chi square. Research results obtained with the chi-square test p value = 0.00> 0.005 found no significant relationship between breastfeeding with infant morbidity. To find out how many babies were breast-fed and non-breast milk on morbidity was obtained from the use oods ratio obtained 12 (30%) infants who received breast milk and 28 (70%) infants who are not breastfed are obtained from Non ASI and ASI mixture. Of the 12 infants given breast milk got 2 of them (6.9%) experienced pain while infants who are not breastfed 27 (93.1%) who are not breastfed sick. Non-breastfed infants with 135 times more likely to suffer pain. This research is expected to be useful for health workers, village cadre, nurses, mothers and families and as a baseline for future research fields.
