PENGALAMAN MAHASISWA TERHADAP PERILAKU CARING TENAGA PENDIDIK DI FAKULTAS ILMU KEPERAWATAN UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT STUDENT EXPERIENCE TOWARD EDUCATOR’S CARING BEHAVIOR IN FACULTY OF NURSING ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Dewi Kristiana NIM : 1551036 Some students stated that there were educators at Adventist University of Indonesia who had not shown caring behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the experience of students towards caring behavior of educators. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach through indepth interview techniques. The informants of the study were senior students who were actively studying by using purposive sampling. The results of this study resulted in 5 categories, namely: the meaning of caring indicated by providing assistance directly when looking at people who need help, cultivation of caring indicated by the existence of self-aware behavior and inner self-initiative to help someone, caring development will continue develop if we see the behavior of seniors when practicing at the hospital also shows caring behavior, caring extirpate if it continues to see seniors not showing caring behavior to patients, and caring implementation. Educators Adventist University of Indonesia have been good enough in applying caring behavior in class and outside the classroom to their students. But educators are still weak in applying the sub categories of embrace and minister. From this research, it is expected that educators treat students more caring, especially the value of embraces and ministers, so that students can imitate the caring behavior that they have received.
