TINDAKAN KOMPRES HANGAT PADA TEMPORAL DAN ABDOMEN TERHADAP REAKSI SUHU TUBUH PASIEN DENGAN TYPHOID FEVER

ABSTRACT WARM COMPRESS ACTION TO TEMPORAL AND ABDOMEN TOWARDS TEMPERATURE REACTION ON PATIENT’S BODY TYPHOID FEVER Uly Fransysca Simbolon NIM: 1351043 Let the high temperature can be caused dehydration which can bother electrolyte’s balance and induce stiff. As well recurring stiff will be caused damage within brain’s cells which will be affecting behavior disturbance, along with serious dehydration can cause shock and ensue fatal, for worse can be death. In nursing matter, the action which often be done to overcome the increasing body’s temperature is by using warm compress on temporal. In this research the researcher wanted to compare the effectiveness warm compress on temporal and abdomen in reducing body’s temperature. This research used quasi eksperiment design, research design was used Two groups pre-test and pro-test design, research design on two different groups namely warm compress to temporal (A) and warm compress to abdoment (B). The sampel number in the research was 20 Typhoid Fever’s patients who connected based on period during Febuary-April, the sample chose by using purposive sampling. Based on the research, statistically found significant difference between both groups. According to the research, can be concluded that both groups had significant difference with the result that, this warm compress action to temporal and abdoment can be used as a nursing action in decreasing body’s temperature towards warm compress to the other parts of body which is more efficient.
