PENGETAHUAN DAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN OSTEOPOROSIS PADA IBU-IBU PESERTA SENAM DI KLINIK UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA (UNAI)

ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE AND HABITS TO PREVELENT OSTEOPOROSISTO MOTHERS WHO JOINED AEROBICS IN CLINIC OF ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA (UNAI) Desi Natalia NIM: 1551068 Base on the data from International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) which stated that Indonesian female has risk for osteoporosis four times higher than male Indonesian. This research aims to know the knowledge among women join aerobics in Clinic of Adventist University of Indonesia. Sampling in this study used incidental technigue with total respondents of 40 women. Data was analyzed using description analysis and correlation analysis to know knowledge and prevention behavior toward osteoporosis. The result showed that 73,7% of respondents knowledge at the level of everage range, and the mean of prevention behavior is 2,7 at the level of everage range. The significant value of correlation of knowledge toward prevention behavior of osteoporosis is 0,802 (p-value˂0,05). This study could be used as information to prevent osteoporosis as well as health promotion of citizens around university to have better life. Suggestion for the next research is to develop study with different method. Keywords: Knowledge, Prevention Behavior Toward Osteoporosis
