ABSTRACT COMPARICON OF KNOWLEDGE ON DENTAL AND MOUTH HEALTH BEFORE AND AFTER HEALTH EDUCATION TO STUDENTS CIHANJUANG 2 RAHAYU PARONGPONG BANDUNG WEST JITRO SINURAT NIM: 1251021 Dental caries (dental cavitation) is a chronic disease of children that common happens and has a level five times higher than asthma. In the city of Bandung in 2010 the prevalence of dental caries of children is 79,7%. This case due to lack of knowledge about dental and oral health. The purpose of this research is to get a review about the knowledge about dental and oral health at Cihanjuang Rahayu 2 public elementary school before and after counseling. The method that used in this research is quasi-experimental method with pre-post test design. The population used in this research amounted 34 people where all of the population was appointed as a sample as known as saturated sample (sampel jenuh). The instrument form used a question that taken from PDGI 2010, it consist of 13 items of question. The knowledge before counseling was low and knowledge after a counseling is good after all. There is a significant difference between knowledge before and after counseling. oral and dental health in Elementary School Cihanjuang 2 Rahayu Parongpong District of West Bandung.
