ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE OF DARK HERITAGE IN STUDENTS AT STUDENTS / I SMP NEGERI 3 KARYAWANGI, PARONGPONG DISTRICT, DISTRICT BANDUNG BARAT Mikaria Doloksaribu NIM: 1351056 Marriage is an event when a couple of brides are formally brought together before a certain head or religious leader, witnesses, and audiences to be officially ratified as husband and wife through a ceremony (Irianti, 2011). The effort that can be done is through health promotion. This study was conducted to obtain a description of the level of knowledge about the risk of early marriage before and after counseling in Students / I SMPN 3 Karyawangi District Parongpong West Bandung regency. The research method used in the research is pre-experiment with One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design. Sample used in this research is class 2 of SMPN 3 Karyawangi with total sampling method. The instrument used is a knowledge level questionnaire about the risk of early marriage taken from Ellizabet (2010) with 20 questions. The results showed that there was a difference of knowledge level about knowledge of early marriage danger in Student of SMPN 3 Karyawangi Subdistrict of Parongpong Regency of West Bandung with increasing of difference value before and after 14,11% and significant value t count ≤ 0.000. Suggestions that can be given to the Principal of SMPN 3 Karyawangi, as inputs to provide incentive counseling to SMP / SMP students in order to increase the level of knowledge about early marriage danger for nurses and other health workers, as an early effort to reduce the number of early marriage events through health promotion especially to school-aged children. For the field of research, as a material to be developed in further research on the factors that affect the knowledge and behavior of school-aged children to early marriage danger.
