PENGALAMAN PENDERITA HIPERTENSI TINGKAT 2 DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PARONGPONG KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

ABSTRACT EXPERIENCE OF INDIVIDUAL WITH HYPERTENSION LEVEL 2 IN THE REGION OF PARONGPONG’S COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER WEST BANDUNG Adventy B.P Leokuna NIM : 1551003 This research is based on the high prevalence of hypertension sufferers and considering the complications that can be caused as well as the experience greatly influenced the lives of sufferers. The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of important characteristics and experience of the client. The method used is phenomenology descriptive qualitative, with population it’s are hypertension level 2 in this research is the subject amounted to 5 people elected with purposive sampling, and data obtained through structured interviews using 22 questions analyzed based on content (content analys). Results of this research illustrate that sufferers experience physiological replace changes with problem such as: shortness of breath, heart palpitations, chest pain, fatigue, headaches and dizziness, impaired vision, weakness, decreased appetite, difficulty holding to urinate, vomiting, the disruption of normal sleep patterns, decreased physical mobility, and the feel of burning and redness of the face; self concept problem such as not taking medication on time, feel resigned to the situation and some of them feel ashamed and inadequate; a role change: since diagnosed, sufferers can not work in the garden , as the husband feeling stressed by household needs that must be met; for example: dependence in performing daily activities, the need for help has always been wholly dependent on others, and has not been able to walk on its own for going to the clinic for medical treatment. The conclusion turns out to be not only Hypertension sufferers experience physiological changes alone, but rather the concept of self, roles, and interdependent changes.
