ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT STUNTING BEFORE AND AFTER RELEASE IN KARYAWANGI VILLAGE RW 07, DISTRICT PARONGPONG Arranged by: Riko Ivan Susanto 1551017 Stunting is a problem of growth disorders in children due to chronic malnutrition that can lead to intelligence disorders, growth in physical size that is not optimal and then become stunted. According to the data, West Java Province still has many stunting cases and the percentage reaches 15.7% with an estimated number of around 683,927 children. The research design used was quasy experimental and the study design used one group pre-test and post-test with presentation media. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling method to find out how knowledgeable of productive age women about stunting before and after counseling in Karyawangi Village RW 07, Parongpong District. 35 respondents were willing to take part in this study. The results of the study showed that the knowledge of respondents before counseling was in the less category. After counseling the knowledge of respondents about stunting after counseling was in the good category. This research shows the benefits of counseling in influencing the level of knowledge of the community. The role of the Government in providing information on stunting knowledge greatly influences the level of knowledge of the community in conducting prevention, the role of health officers is also important so that they can always provide information on prevention of stunting to the community so that the longer the incidence of stunting will decrease.
