ABSTRACT SCORE OF STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE OF CLASS V ABOUT PEDICULOSIS CAPITIS IN KARTIKA PRIMARY SCHOOL X-3 PARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG Sherly Jeniver Bindosano NIM : 1351060 Pediculosis capitis is a parasite whose life depends on human blood. The prevalence of pediculosis of capitis is quite high, especially in school children, the disease has become a problem in developing countries as well as in developed countries. This is due to a lack of knowledge about pediculosis capitis. The purpose of this research is to know the score of pediculosis capitis knowledge in Kartika primary school X-3 Parongpong West Bandung. The research design used was pre-experimental with one group pretest-postest design. Sampling by total sampling method. The sample of this research is 87 people. The instrument used in the form of questionnaires which amounted to 30 questions based on Fadillah 2015 reference. The data is calculated by the average formula and paired t-test. The calculation results show that the average score of knowledge before health education is 56.97 which is categorized as sufficient knowledge and after health counseling is 67.87 with knowledge category more than enough. The p-value is 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant difference of knowledge score about pediculosis of capitis before and after health education in Kartika primary school X-3 Parongpong West Bandung. Suggestions for the results of this study are as material information and evaluation for students so they can know more about the pediculosis of capitis and how to prevent pediculosis capitis in Kartika primary school X-3 Parongpong West Bandung.
