ABSTRAC Thesis title : “ANALYSIS OF THE REMNANT CONCEPT BASED ON REVELATION 12:17 IN THE LIFE OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH OF THE CONGREGATION IN THE XIII CONFERENCE OF DKI JAKARTA Researcher : Parhusip Herme Degree : Master of Philosophy (M. Nainggolan, MPS Completion date : Thursday, May 11th 2017 Analysis of the Remnant Concept in Revelation 12:17 In the Life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Congregation in the XIII Conference DKI Jakarta. Key Words: Concepts, People Remaining. The discussion about The Analysis of the Remnant Concept Based On Revelation 12:17 In the Life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Congregation in the XIII Conference DKI Jakarta, is very importance for the present, because God has Chosen and determined of the “Remnant” in the last days to be agents He in declaring His misson is Three Angel Messages. There are two understandings of the “Remnant”, which is the background of this research. The first argues that the Remnant, as a brand of Denomination of the Church; And the Second holds that the Remnant is all those who have the faithful nature of God’s people to the end. The Seventh-day Adventist Church member fulfills the Word of God’s statement in Revelation 12:17; 14:12, as the ‘Last Remnant’ in the latter days, it is necessary to conduct a study of member of the congregation, on the understanding of the conceptof the ‘Remnant’. In the letter days, what are the characteristics of the ‘Remnant’ and what To become a mission of ‘Remnant’. The notion of the remnant of the end-time must be understood in the context of great contradictions “then drag the dragon to the woman, and go to fight her other offspring, who keep the commandments of god and heve the testimony of Jesus Christ” {Revelation 12:17). There are three characteristics for the end-time remant of Revelation 12:17, that is; (1) obay the lows of God (2) heve the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17) and (3) obey God’s command and faith in Jesus (Revelation 14:12). The massage of the Three Angels embodied in Revelation 14:6-13, is the mission of the remnant people of the lastdays, which must be expressed in everyday life. The first angel’s message ennounces the eternal gospel and the call to restore worship to the true God as a Reality because the moment of judgment has come. The massage of the second angel disguses the opposition to all forms of human wordship. Finally, the massage of the third angel announces God’s most holy warning against the worship of the beast and his image-all those who reject the gospel of righteousness by faith. The study was conducted at the seventh-day Adventist Church of the XIII Region or the Comperence of DKI Jakarta, with the aim of understanding the extent to which members of the congregation understood the concepts of the remnant people of last days, trough the growth of faith in daily life and church involvement in evangelism, according to Revelation 12:17. The result of the research shows that there is a correlation between understanding the meaning of “residents” concept in Revelatin 12:17 in the life of the member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Region XIII of DKI Jakarta Conference with percentage of 79.8%. The Congregation’s understanding of the ceoncept of the remnant is evidenced by the Growing of Faith in the Life of Church Members and the Involvement of Church Members in Evangelism. The Lowest understanding of the concept of the remnant in the life of the members of the congregation is found in the number 5 statement with the smallest total score of 3.26, indicating that each respondent has not declared their faith in a practical life. Next oon the third variable is congregational involvement in evangelism, on the statement of number 18 with the smallest total score of 3.26, this indicates that each respondent is not happy or willing to be scheduled in the ministry in the church. The final part is the conclusion of the analysis of field research, suggestions and applications that can be run so that every member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church understand about the concept of the Remnant in life as God’s chosen people in the last days.
