ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE OF PARENTS IN PREVENTING BULLYING TOWARD CHILDREN AT KARYAWANGI VILLAGE RT 02 RW 14 Laodekia Tesalonika Wulandari NIM: 1351016 The parents at karyawangi village RT 02 RW 14 never heard the term of bullying. The leader of karyawangi village RT 02 RW 14 said he never know of bullying to ward children and research about it have never been done in the village. This research aims to know the knoeledge and role of parents in preventing bullying at karyawangi village RT 02 RW 14. We used correlative descriptian as our method design is Total respondents are 88 persons. The first variable is knowledge test which consist of 12 multiple choice question, and the second variable is questionnaire of roles in preventing which amsist of 18 questions. The result calculated with perantage formula. To find the average value with correlation product coefficiant moment pearson. The result shms, the knowledge of parens is 43, 08 % fell in low category and the role of parents in preventing bullying is enough, there relation between the knowledge and role of the parents no relationship. From this study it is expected the health cadre of Desa Karyawangi to invite psychologists to help provide health education to improve the knowledge and role of parents in preventing bullying in children.
