ABSTRACT NURSE INTERACTION AS NURSING INTERVENTION GIVEN AND PROVIDE TO INPATIENTS IN BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Alridge Josua Vini Seran NIM: 1351010 This research is based on the result of my observations and interviews with 15 nurses in RSAB’s ward and there were only 3 in 15 nurses who make good interaction towards the patients including the nursing students who is on duty. The purpose of this research is to get the image of how nurses-patients interact with each other in RSAB’s South Wing 4 and West Wing 4. The method that i use is phenomenology qualitative. Total of the samples are 8 nurses and 8 patients who reach the same saturation by using puposive sampling. The result of this research showed that there are 3 themes and 11 categories on the nurses and patients interaction. 2 themes and 10 categories are showed in the quality of nurses and patients interaction. This results can be used to increase the application of the therapeutic communication in every interaction as nursing interventions are given. To the nursing science, it is expected to do more interaction for the needs of the nurses and patients, to teach about therapeutic communication and therapeutic communication techniques, to cultivate therapeutic communication towards the patients.
