ABSTRACT THE LEVEL OF SAFETY TOWARDS STREET FOOD IN THE KARYAWANGI VILLAGE IN THE PARONGPONG AREA OF THE WEST BANDUNG DISTRICT Winda Friyanti Sitorus NIM : 1351006 Based on interviews of researchers with supervisors and heads of the Parongpong Community Health Center, the level of safety towards street food in Parongpong needed to be done by direct testing, So that the data could be used as a reference of implementation to the program to improve the degree and current state of public health. The head of the community health center were very supportive of this research being done. The design used in this research was descriptive with a laboratory test and doing a suspected sample approach. The population used in this research were those who attended the elementary and kindergarten school in the village of Karyawangi with a total of 9 schools and a sample of 17 samples of street food. The research showed that the level of safety of street food in the village of Karyawangi in the Parongpong Area of the West Bandung District were very high. As research suggestion and advice, is this can be used as material to be developed in subsequent studies to test food color in the snacks. Keywords: Snacks, Borax, Formaldehyde
