ABSTRACT PHENOMENOLOGY OF SMOKING BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENT CHILDREN IN PARONGPONG DISTRICT BANDUNG BARAT Sri Yuliana Haumeni NIM: 1151081 Smoking behavior is one of the habits undertaken in everyday life so that wherever the place always found people who smoke. Factors that affect the behavior of smoking in adolescents is the influence of peers and family. The purpose of this study to determine the phenomenon of smoking behavior in adolescents in Parongpong West Bandung regency. The type of research used is qualitative research with design of informant phenomenology chosen by using snowball sampling method and get 10 informant. The population in this study were teenagers who smoked in Parongpong. The sample used in this study were 10 teenagers. The instrument used is interview, the tool used in this research is semi structured question, stationery, tape recorder or handphone. Analysis of data used content analisys. The results of this study indicate that the informants know the harmful substances contained in cigarettes and the influence of smoking on health. Based on the results of research suggested for adolescents who smoke should have an intention to reduce smoking habits in order to avoid the dangers arising from smoking.
