ABSTRACT GERONTIC NURSING CARE IN TN. A PAIN HEAD OF HYPERTENSION BY GIVING BACK MASSAGE IN HOSPITAL X Arranged by: Acep Supriatna NIM: 1652004 Hypertension in the elderly in particular can have several problems, one of which is headache due to increased blood pressure. This paper aims to implement gerontik nursing care with a nursing process approach to Mr. A with hypertension: giving back massage to headache. This paper is a descriptive case study with a single subject using problem solving in the nursing process. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and physical examination by inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. Nursing care for Mr. A is done on November 5until November 7 2018. The results of the study obtained data that the client said pain in the head area until the client had difficulty standing. Blood pressure 180/110 mmHg, total cholesterol 230 mg / dL. Nursing diagnoses that appear on Mr. A is pain, activity intolerance, and lack of knowledge. Nursing planning is organized according to the client's nursing problems. After implementation according to the plan prepared in the nursing plan, all interventions can be applied according to the situation and conditions. After treatment for 3 days, Mr. A problem is partially resolved. The evaluation results show that the implementation provided can be partially completed according to the objectives made. Therefore, it is recommended that the act of reducing the scale of pain should be done by the nurse to help reduce the problem. Keywords: Hypertension, Pain, Gerontik, Back Massage
