THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING MIND - MAPPING TECHNIQUE TOWARDS STUDENTS' READING COMPREHENSION ABILITY

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explore whether the use of mind mapping technique can improve students' reading comprehension. This study used quantitativi rJsearctr -ethoa and experimental design: one group pre-test - post-tesr. The participants of this study were 65 students grade vIII of SMpN I parongpong, Kabupiten Bandung sarat whl were in class vlu c and vIII G. They were divided into 2 groups. studens -of class vIII c^*..." ey-4,_*ithout giving mind mapping technique in Gaching reading and students of class vlII G were taught with giving rnind mapping techniqui in teaihing readinf Therefore, the conclusion is there is a significant differenqe in rgading qompiehflsio; improvement between students who are taught using mind mapping t".t"iq" -J tnor. who are taught using conventional method.
