ABSTRACT This research about factors that affect student's lack of intercst in English readingThis study investigated by questionnaire the influence of variable factors to lack of interest in English reading. The samples collected from different schools that included SMPN t Parongpong SMPN 3 Cisaruq SMP 3 Pasundan and SMP Advent Cimindi. It was carried out on s€cond grade junior high school on March 2013. The participants involved in this study were 315 students. The result of this study is from seven variable factors there is significant effect on the tack of lnterest (Y) with alotal werc 26.70/oWhile the remaining73.l%o nfluenc€d by other factors tlal are not observed in this study.
