THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PEER REVIEW TO IMPROVE THE ABILITY OF FIRST YEAR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN WRITING NARRATIVE

Abstract This study discusses about the effectiveness of peer review technique to improve the ability of first year senior high school students in writing nanative The purpose of this study was to find out the result whether peer review technique improve students ability in wriling nanative text. The researcher conducted the study in SMA BERSAMA Berastagi, the desigr of the researcher was quantitative. The participants were first year senior high school students consist of 30 students. As the result, the researcher found that through peer review technique, the students improve their ability in writing narrative text, from the result of t-test can be found that the pValue Sig. (.000) S a (.050). It means, H" is accepted and Ho is not rqected. Fu(hermore, there is a significant difference in the students' u-riting narrative ability between those who were thought by peer revierv technique and those who were thought by conventional method
