ABSTRACT COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN CALL AND MALL TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Citra Hutabarat ID 1221007 The purpose of this study is to find out the difference on the students’ vocabulary enhancement between students who were taught through CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) and MALL (Mobile-Assisted Language Learning). The study was done in SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong. This study is a quantitative and comparative design using pre-test and post-test. The study was conducted to 33 students grade 10-H using software “Tell Me More” as the CALL method. The other group composed of 35 students grade 10-E taught through MALL. Based on the analysis it can be conclude that there is no significant difference on the students’ vocabulary enhancement between students who were taught through CALL and MALL. These two methods increase students’ vocabulary. So, it can be concluded that CALL and MALL are good methods for teaching vocabulary. Keywords: CALL, MALL, Software “Tell Me More”, Mobile Phone.
