THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CLUSTERING TECHNIQUE TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN NARRATIVE WRITING

ABSTRACT This study aimed to find out the significant difference in narrative writing ability between students who were taught by using Clustering Technique and those who were not taught by using conventional technique?. This research is entitled “The Implementation of Clustering Technique to Enhance Students’ Ability in Narrative Writing”. Experimental design was used in this study . The population of this study was the students of SMAN 1 Lembang, Bandung at grade XI. The participants were formed into two groups that consist of 67 students : 34 students in the experimental group and 33 students in the control group.The Experimental group was taught by implementing Clustering Technique and the control group was taught using conventional technique. After a careful analysis, the researcher made conclusion that there is a significant different in narrative writing ability between those who were taught using Clustering Technique and those who were taught using conventional method.
